During the month of March, several educational centers in the municipalities of Tarata, Arbieto and Vacas have started the activities of their school gardens, with an intense work of cleaning, preparing soils and planting.

Thus, in coordination with principals, teachers, students, and families, we have prepared the gardens to reactivate the production of vegetables and legumes. A total of 852 square meters have been planted in 12 school gardens in Vacas, Parko Khocha, David Morato, Juntuytuyo, Pedregal, Rodeo, Pisko Mayu, Copacabana, Rayito de Luz, Villa San José, Pampa Mamata, and Antonio Arnez.

School gardens contribute to strengthening environmental education and healthy eating among students, as well as promoting ecological awareness, teamwork, and practical learning of sustainable agriculture among the children of the community.

We also continue to support 7 school cafeterias in Vacas, which serve more than 500 primary school children, by providing protein-rich foods such as meat, eggs, milk, and sardines.
